How to cope up with the Time between Therapy Sessions?


Many people have a misconception that therapy is only taken by mentally ill people or are retarded or facing some trauma. However, that’s not true. Medicine is taken by anyone who feels like they want to become better individuals in every life. Need career advice, need any counseling, wish to accomplish their daily goals, or become a better son or a better individual. There are many stigmas associated with therapy, and I hope in due time, all of this goes away, and people become more aware. 

However, for people who are already taking therapy, what about them? It’s good that you are taking help, and your friends and family will be proud of you for being already one step ahead. However, you may not realize, but there can be a lot of anxiety associated with therapy itself. People who take medicine for pressure may be concerned about treatment, haha, funny isn’t it or something that you can relate to? Well especially coping up with the time between your sessions can be overwhelming as you can have so many thoughts after a session, and you want to tell that to your therapist. Well, don’t worry, we have you covered. 

Here are things you can do to cope up with the time between your therapy sessions

  • Make sure you do the tasks that your therapist has told you. A good therapist will always give you tasks to do in the coming time, and completing them is very important. That will leave a good impression plus you will feel productive as well. 
  • Journaling- make sure you reflect on your previous session and think about it peacefully. Your therapist must have given you very powerful and promising insights, and it’s essential to think about them. Not only that, daily journaling is necessary so that you can make extraordinary notice of your thoughts and all your issues to discuss in the next session. 


  • We have a life beyond therapy, and we need to do our daily tasks and activities. Many people go to therapy to do better in life, so there’s your answer. It is a lot if you do your daily tasks and make daily goals. 
  • Talk to your friends: tell them about your therapy and get am insight from them. You can ever help them if they are facing similar issues. 
  • Workout: workout is a great way to cope up with your time. As I said, you need to practice your daily activities well. Workout and eat healthily.
